Fencing North Committee Meeting

Linda moves that we accept the treasurers report. John seconds. All in favour. 

 

Oliver needs to send entry lists to Linda so she can reconcile online entry fee payments for NZSS/U20 Champs against fencers 

 

 

FeNZ Board Meeting: 

 

Fencing NZ are currently going through the process of electing two additional board members. There was a discussion about this. 

 

NZSS & U20 Champs  

 

Referees: 

Daniela and Laura to organise referees 

 

Setup: 

Wednesday night at 8pm at Massey 

 

Weapons Control: 

Monday night at NZAF for Aucklanders from 7.30pm 

Wednesday night at 8pm at Massey for everyone 

 

Boxes: 

Borrowing boxes from Gaylene and possibly Fencing Central 

 

Pens: 
Oliver to get heaps of pens 

 

Prizes: 

Medals and certificates for individuals. First place certificate framed. 

Certificates for teams. 

 

T-Shirts: 

Oliver organising this. AHPF to assist with selling 

 

PA System: 

Laura to ask Hamish Chan about his PA system 

 

Catering:  

AHPF organising catering. 

 

First Aid Kit: 

Laura to replenish anything missing from the first aid kit 

 

Meeting closed at 9.05pm 

Congratulations to all the medal winners at the Oceania Cadet Championships. This competition was on the 26th and 27th of September in New Caledonia.

 
 

NZ took Gold and Bronze in the Women's Foil Individuals, Bronze in the Men's Individuals and Gold in the Men's Teams.

Men's Foil, 3rd= Place: Cesar Dyson
Women's Foil, 1st Place: Samantha Fowler
Women's Foil, 3rd= Place: Sara-Louise Williams
Men's Foil Team, 1st Place: Cesar Dyson, James Tweddle, Nicholas Miehlbradt, Luca Young

Just a quick note that we have unfortunately had to postpone the Fenton Competition that was scheduled for this Saturday, 3rd October. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page and website over the next week or two for an announcement of new dates for this event.

Next Saturday, 10th October, we are running Fencing North Open Championships at Massey High School - information is available here

Massey High School Gym, 274 Don Buck Rd, Massey West

Entry Fee: $20 first weapon, $5 additional weapons
Weapons: Foil, Epee, Sabre
Format: Poules then elimination rounds
Start Times:

Sabre: 9am
Epee: 11am
Foil: 1pm

There will be weapons control at this event. Make sure you arrive 45mins before your event starts so you have time to check your gear and complete registration.

Prizes: Medals for top 4 (1st, 2nd, 3rd=) in each event and 1st place = Free affiliation for 2016, 2nd Place = 50% off affiliation for 2016.

Fenton Fencing Competition 2015 Entry Form:

  

FENCING NORTH UNDER 15 CHAMPIONSHIP

Saturday 31st October 2015

Book the date, this will be the last foil competition of the season.

We will have some fencers coming up from Wellington, so it will be a good opportunity to mix with the rest of the fencing stars out there and have some fencing fun.

A competition not to be missed for the young fencers heading to Australia in November for Under 15 and under 13.

      

Venue:                  Massey High School Hall, 274 Don Buck Rd, Massey West

Start Time:            Registration at 9.30am for a 9.45am start

What event?        Individual Boys’ Foil and Individual Girls’ Foil

Who can enter?  Any fencer fully affiliated with Fencing New Zealand and born after 1st January 2000
